African Roadshow Opens New Chapter for Africa–GCC Cooperation
London, United Kingdom - The first edition of the African Roadshow successfully launched in London, marking the beginning of a dynamic journey leading to the Africa GCC Council Platform and the Africa Pavilion at AIM Congress Dubai, scheduled to take place from 7–9 September.
Hosted at XCHG Spaces London, the inaugural event brought together a distinguished group of business leaders, investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem stakeholders to explore new opportunities for collaboration between Africa and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
The event exceeded expectations, attracting a strong audience and generating significant interest in strengthening Africa–GCC economic relations. The vibrant discussions highlighted the growing appetite for deeper cooperation across investment, trade, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.
Through an interactive and highly participative format, attendees engaged in meaningful dialogue focused on unlocking strategic partnerships and accelerating cross-border opportunities. The event also served as an important platform to build momentum for the upcoming Africa Pavilion at AIM Congress Dubai, which aims to showcase Africa's investment potential and foster stronger connections with global investors and business leaders.
The organizers extended their gratitude to all speakers, partners, and participants who contributed to the success of the event. Special recognition was given to The Circle, co-host and moderator Lubna Dajani, as well as speakers Elijah Amoako, Lain Nettleton, Abi Anis, Michelle Chivunga, Uwem Ukpong, Jamie Amelia Patel, Gonçalo Terenas, and Babs Ogundeyi for sharing their expertise and insights.
As the African Roadshow continues its journey, the next stop will be Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, where stakeholders will gather on 30 June at the Mövenpick Hotel Abidjan to further strengthen connections and advance discussions ahead of AIM Congress Dubai.
