ABIDJAN, CÔTE D’IVOIRE — June 2026 — Following the successful launch of The African Roadshow in London, the Africa GCC Council has announced the next chapter of the initiative, which will take place on June 30, 2026, at the prestigious Mövenpick Hotel Abidjan.
The event in Abidjan forms part of a broader international engagement strategy leading towards the African Pavilion at
AIM Congress 2026 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where African governments, investors, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem leaders will showcase opportunities for investment, innovation, and sustainable economic growth.
The Abidjan chapter is expected to bring together business leaders, investors, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, development organizations, and public-sector decision-makers to explore new pathways for collaboration between African economies and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
Strengthening Africa–GCC Economic Bridges
As economic ties between Africa and the Gulf continue to deepen, The African Roadshow serves as a strategic platform to facilitate dialogue, partnerships, investment opportunities, and market access initiatives.
Participants will gain insights into Côte d’Ivoire’s economic environment, emerging investment sectors, financing opportunities, and regional growth prospects while engaging directly with stakeholders from across Africa and the GCC.
Program Highlights
The Abidjan event will feature a comprehensive agenda focused on investment, entrepreneurship, and economic cooperation, including:
- Presentation of the Africa GCC Council international platform and initiatives.
- Analysis of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic landscape and investment opportunities.
- Strategic discussions on Africa - GCC cooperation and trade relations.
- Deal Rooms and financing solutions for high-impact projects.
- Presentation of the continental One Million Startups program.
- Interactive networking sessions and high-level business matchmaking.
- One Million Startups Takes Center Stage
A major highlight of the event will be the presentation of the
One Million Startups (OMS) initiative, a program designed to empower entrepreneurs, founders, startups, SMEs, and innovation ecosystems across Africa and other emerging markets. The initiative aims to support one million entrepreneurs by providing access to training, business development frameworks, digital tools, mentorship, international networks, and market-entry opportunities.
The presentation in Abidjan represents an important milestone in expanding the program's presence across Africa and mobilizing ecosystem stakeholders around a shared vision of entrepreneurship-led economic development.
Building Momentum Toward Dubai
The African Roadshow is progressively building momentum toward the African Pavilion at AIM Congress 2026, where participating countries, institutions, startups, and investors will have the opportunity to showcase projects, forge partnerships, and attract international investment.
By connecting stakeholders across Africa and the GCC region, the initiative reinforces the growing role of entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategic cooperation as drivers of economic transformation.
With Abidjan serving as the next important stop on this journey, the Africa GCC Council continues to position itself as a catalyst for stronger Africa–GCC relations and a champion of initiatives that create long-term opportunities for businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs across both regions.
