The Africa Pavilion, co-hosted by the Africa GCC Council, will take place during AIM Congress 2026, one of the world’s leading investment and economic development platforms, to be held 13–15 April 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
A Special Moment: The Wisdom of a Legend
A highlight of Nigeria’s participation will be the special presence of H.E. President Olusegun Obasanjo, one of Africa’s most respected statesmen. His participation in the Africa Pavilion will support the broader representation of the African continent and contribute to high-level dialogue on Africa’s economic integration and development.
President Obasanjo’s longstanding commitment to African cooperation and economic progress is expected to bring valuable insight and inspiration to discussions taking place throughout the event.
From Dialogue to Action: Building the Africa–GCC Corridor
As part of its mission to create tangible economic connections between Africa and the Gulf region, the Africa GCC Council recently facilitated a high-level meeting in Dubai between Oludent Health International and the AIM Congress Board.
This engagement reflects the Council’s commitment to going beyond visibility and enabling concrete outcomes by connecting African enterprises with strategic partners in the UAE and the broader GCC region. Such initiatives are central to developing the Africa–GCC economic corridor, fostering investment flows, partnerships, and market access.
Strengthening Subnational Cooperation
The Africa GCC Council also recently conducted a productive visit to Oyo State, Nigeria, further strengthening institutional and regional collaboration.
During the visit, the Council’s Board held meetings in Ibadan with H.E. Governor Seyi Makinde, whose hospitality and openness to international cooperation were greatly appreciated. The engagements highlighted opportunities for investment, regional development, and deeper partnerships between Nigeria and the Gulf region.
